Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Qinyi Fan (BFA Interior Architecture ‘25) specializes in adaptive reuse and sustainability. As a LEED Green Associate, she prioritizes sustainability in her projects, with a concentration in Nature, Culture, and Sustainability Studies. Her expertise includes integrating biomaterial innovation and urban systems into thoughtful, environmentally conscious designs.

Beyond design, she launched TOMATO.FISH, a business specializing in handmade Asian pastries. With a loyal customer base, it has become known for its culturally inspired creations, generating up to $900 in bi-weekly profits. Her dedication to the spread of culture, sustainability, and community engagement drives this entrepreneurial venture.

Qinyi is dedicated to fostering a symbiotic relationship between humans and natural systems. She aims to leverage advanced technologies and continual self-reflection to design sustainable, life-enhancing spaces that leave a lasting impact on communities and the planet.
